During my time as a Congressional Actions Coordinator, I saw firsthand how difficult it can be for everyday citizens to navigate federal agencies. Delayed passports, denied VA claims, immigration cases stuck in limbo — the same frustrations came across my desk every day.
What I also saw was that many of these issues could be resolved with the right approach. Knowing who to contact, what to say, and how to escalate makes all the difference. Most people just don't know these pathways exist.
That's why I started Citizens First Consulting. I wanted to take the knowledge I gained working with the DOD, VA, USCIS, Social Security Administration, and State Department, and make it accessible to everyone — not just those lucky enough to contact a congressional office.
My goal isn't to do the work for you. It's to empower youwith the tools and knowledge to advocate for yourself effectively. Because when citizens know how to navigate the system, the system works better for everyone.
